"As the only major organization in Dallas focusing solely on youth and family theater, DCT builds bridges of understanding between generations and cultures, instilling an early appreciation of literature, art and the performing arts in tomorrow’s artists and patrons."
Season: There is a regular season; however, most of the shows are professional adult performers. Sometimes there are opportunities for children. DCT offers a touring production, but you must be 18 years or older to participate.
Classes: DCT offer semester classes; however, there is no information available since registration is complete. There are mini-sessions, one class time per week, available during semester classes. DCT provides after school drama programs to schools held at the school itself. Schools may also participate in Dramashops, a workshop done after a class sees a DTC production. It is $80 for each Dramashop of 25-30 who will participate in hands-on activities, which emphasizes important themes from the play. There are also teacher workshops offered for teachers to learn improv and multi-sensoryapproaches to learning.
Summer Camps: A variety of classes in acting and musical emphasises are offered. Prices range from $70-$550 with ages 4-18.
Finance: DCT relies on donations and less than 50% of their revenue on ticket sales. There are various ways of donating to this organization.
