"The mission of Junior Players is to encourage intellectual growth, mental well being and the development of life skills in the youth of North Texas through mentoring, creative expression, and participation in dramatic and arts activities."
Season: There is not a regular season.
Classes: There many, many after school programs offered in many, many locations in the Dallas area. These range in ages 6-14. Each class is only one day a week and are 'discoveries' of different topics for diffent locations. For example, the Churchill Recreation Center offers a 'Discover Theatre' class on Mondays only. Junior Players programs are also available to Dallas-area school, recreation centers, and community centers.
Summer Camps: Summer camps are also completely free to the participants. Currently, there are 2 to choose from: Discover Shakespeare and Discover Theatre. These range in ages from 7-15.
Finance: Junior Players operates from donations to the program. Junior Players also holds and annual auction to fundraise.
Extra Notes:
-All of the Junior Players programs are absolutely FREE to participants who follow the mission statement.
-Junior players provides and Employment/Internship application.
-Opportunities for high school playwrites to submit work in a contest hosted by Junior Players and Kitchen Dog Theatre.
